HISTORICAL BACKGROUND Sassanids - UNITED Sassanid - I PEROZ (459-484)I Peroz is a son of Yadzgard II (438-457). He succeeded his brother Hormazd III (457-459) fought and eliminated. He spent much of his reign fighting against the Huns Hephtalites. He was taken prisoner and unable to pay his ransom had let his son hostage. The kingdom enjoyed during his reign many diseases and famine that lasted seven years. He died fighting the Huns again. His brother Valkash (484-488), who succeeded him.
